Jones Wedding

Growing up we had some cousins in Ohio that we didn't get to see very often. I always thought pretty highly of my cousin Kenneth because he was a big guy with a pretty fun personality. In fact a lot of family would always say later on that I was a little Kenneth. We had just kept up mainly through Facebook for the past 10 years because he has been traveling around the world working as a radio DJ, currently stationed in Dubai. So, when we got the invite to come to his re-Wedding it was an easy decision to make the trip the Michigan. A re-Wedding is when someone gets married and then comes back to celebrate with family and friends. It just so happened that they got married about 7 years earlier and hadn't made it back to celebrate with us until now.

The only part that we were worried about was the birth of our son Landon. He was due to be born close to the date of the celebration, but he cooperated and was born about 12 days before the weekend festivities were to happen. Not only did we get to go celebrate with Kenneth and Erica, but we got to take our first road trip as a family of 4! We came up the day before and hung out with everyone as they were finishing up all the last minute decorations. We took advantage of some downtime and headed to the pool at the hotel.
Brinley loved the pool.
Brinley giving the pool a thumbs up!
I placed Landon next to his sister while she was sleeping.
Landon and his cousin Bernie.
Landon in his little bow tie. This outfit actually didn't last very long because he had a diaper blowout and made a mess of his outfit. Which brought us to our next problem that we didn't bring any diapers to the wedding site. We had left them all in the hotel. So we had to run back and get them before the wedding started.

Cousins Bob and Crystal.
Afterwards they had everybody just hang out and play games. It seemed like a big family reunion. I had to put on some more comfortable clothing before playing corn hole. Rossy and I played some of Erica's family from Canada and really showed them how the game was played.
Grandpa and Brinley playing on the swings.
Such a happy little girl.
One last dip in the pool before heading back to Kentucky. Brinley was catching a ride on my back.
We had such a good time catching up with family over the weekend and I was glad that everyone got to see Landon too. We had a lot of fun on our first family vacation as 4 and really had a good time at our first ever re-Wedding event. Maybe we can make another family vacation a trip to Dubai to visit Kenneth and Erica. Thanks for reading and God bless.
